Always cover the address with clear packing tape. We once received a label without the package attached!
Include your address inside the package in case the shipping label comes off.
Always pack everything like it was going to be dropped 10 feet, and then another heavier, larger package dropped on top of it.
Don't use newspaper as packing material. Even if it's for a used tool or other hard tough item. Newspaper will crush by the time it arrives and won't protect the item very well. Instead, use bubble wrap, packing peanuts or smaller boxes for padding. It doesn't cost much more and customers really do appreciate a well packed purchase.
